INTERVIEW: Valerie Fahren

Hi Valerie, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Great thanks – very busy!

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Say You Love Me”?

Yes, of course. It’s kind of a story about one of my previous relationships, but I tried to also write it from the viewpoint of Adele. The original purpose of writing the song was for her. But I liked it so much that, when it didn’t get picked up, I released it myself.

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

I have been in relationships in the past where I felt the guy was never completely on board with it, and found out later that I was right. I kind of wanted to express that and how I felt, which was kind of a mixture of love, confusion, hope and realization about commitment.

Any plans to release a video for the single?

Yes, I’m actually working on the concept for it right now as we speak, and planning to release by the holidays... READ MORE
