Lead singer & songwriter for A Fine Frenzy, Alison studied with Valerie Fahren for four years. One of Alison’s songs from A Fine Frenzy was number #1 on iTunes during the week of its release!
“Before I came to Valerie Fahren, I thought I was mostly done with singing. My voice had changed and I couldn’t sing any of the notes I was easily able to before. I was frustrated with this, because I loved to sing. After I started to work with Valerie, my voice immediately started becoming better and I started to look at singing as a career I could get into. She helped me develop the skills I needed to not only sing professionally, but how to present myself as a professional. She also introduced me to the right people so this could all come about.
“Now when I have meetings or auditions, I know what to do and feel confident. Without Valerie, I would only be singing at a minimal amount. Now, not only is my singing incredible, but I have performed in front of industry professionals, worked with industry professionals and am songwriting, recording, dancing, and playing the guitar.
Valerie Fahren worked with Daphne Guinness intensively for four months leading up to the recording of Daphne’s 2014 album which was produced by Tony Visconti (who also produced David Bowie’s Space Oddity album).

“I am a great singer! I can say that now thanks to my vocal coach Valerie Fahren. I have been on Broadway, on tour and am currently in a hit show here in LA… but it is only since I’ve been working with Valerie that I’ve truly begun to find my voice.
“I’m what one might call a reluctant singer… if that makes sense. I’ve loved to sing for years, but never had any real confidence in my ability. Since working with Valerie I have a newfound certainty in myself and my ability… which, in and of itself, makes a difference in vocal quality. In my two months as her student, I have increased my range, improved my breathing and stamina, and have learned techniques that have kept me vocally healthy through colds and vocal exhaustion.
“It would be worth it to study with her for those reasons alone, but the other fabulous thing about Valerie is her heart. She cares so much about her students and is committed to our growth and success. You can feel it in your very first lesson… there a safe place that she provides so that you can soar as an artist. I have complete confidence knowing that I am studying with a master who has my best interests at heart.
“Thank you, Valerie, for showing me my potential and being a source of encouragement and inspiration as you guide me on my path to extreme fierceness!!”
—Nayo Wallace, The Lion King, Broadway National Tour, Lead
“Val worked with me from start to success, working bit by bit and adding each new part as I learned the last, just like it should be. I worked with Valerie two or three times per week and within the shortest period of time, I booked more shows than I could handle, including Broadway shows, booked all the way from LA! In short, the sky was the limit, and anyone who hears of me learns to quickly associate me with great singing. I really do owe her so much for her help.”

“Valerie Fahren is hands down the best voice teacher I have ever worked with. For the first few years I was in Los Angeles, I floated from teacher to teacher and never saw much of an improvement. Within weeks of studying with Valerie, I saw fantastic gains and my voice felt better than ever. It was such a huge relief to find someone who actually knew what they were doing. My voice is very important to me and since it is such a delicate instrument. It’s essential that I work with someone as caring as Valerie.”

“For the past few years my daughter, Maurine has worked with Valerie, she has continued to develop and enhance her talent in the art of music. She has grown as a performer giving her the opportunity to build her self-confidence, presentation, and ability to showcase her talent. Valerie has been very supportive and inspirational to Maurine’s passion and dream of becoming a recording artist and actress. We are thankful for everything she has done for Maurine.”

“Valerie is the best! She has truly helped me improve my vocal range. She teaches me the right techniques of singing and gives me great feedback in the improvements I need to practice. She encourages me to work hard and never give up.”
“Since I have been taking Artist Development classes at Fahren Productions I have made much progress in my singing and my music. And this has been only a matter of months, not years.
“More specifically, my sound and tone went from beginner to professional enough to start working with producers. I got more strength in my voice and my pitch got better. Now I feel much more comfortable performing live. I have no back off on singing in front of any professional situation because I like how my sound is now.
“I am so confident about myself. I learned how to go to the auditions how to answer questions at a professional level. Also I got the knowledge of what it is like going to the studio and record. I am able to recognize what is recorded incorrectly and be able to fix it very quickly, which is very important to be able to do in a professional environment. It can mean the difference of getting signed or not signed.
“Valerie has introduced me to several industry people, especially two major record producers, and I am now working on an original song with one. I also just wrote another song with another major producer last month.”
“My daughter, Jessy, has come so far since she started singing and performance lessons with Val! She didn’t have the tools she needed to really excel before. And since Val’s coaching and the Fahren Industry Showcases, Jessy’s artistic purpose is being realized. Thank you Val!
“A forever grateful mother.”
“I have always wanted to sing well. Val has given me the knowledge of how to do it. There are tips and tricks and Val knows them all! Val, you rock!”
“Since I have been working with Valerie Fahren, my music career has escalated to heights I never thought it could reach. I was recently signed to a top agency in Beverly Hills, I booked a song I composed and will be singing on a Disney album coming out for Christmas, and I will be working with a Grammy award-winning producer in the fall.
“All of this was possible because of the techniques Valerie taught me and her Artist Development Program. Not only has my voice improved, but my songwriting skills, musicality, and over all musicianship has advanced greatly, too. When I came to Valerie, I had written only one song, and now I have composed over 20 songs, and still writing more! My goals and personal achievements have finally been reached and I owe it all to Valerie Fahren.”

“I came to Valerie with a voice problem that had been plaguing me for over 10 years. It derailed my professional career at a time when things were starting to take off (major label contract, national and international radio airplay, opening for world class bands). I have worked with a dozen different voice coaches, as well as renowned Ear, Nose and Throat doctors, alternative medicine practitioners, even the modern day equivalent of a shaman. Valerie Fahren is literally the only person I have been to in over a decade of trying to solve my voice problems who was able to not only identify what the problem was, but give me a workable technique to rehabilitate my voice. My voice is now stronger than it’s been in over a decade and in many ways is stronger than it’s ever been. I am finally learning a workable singing technique that will allow me to sing properly for the first time in my life. And I’m enjoying myself in the process. If you’re looking for a voice coach who will help you be the best singer you can possibly be, and who will enthusiastically support you as an artist and a a person in the process, look no further. You’ve found her.”
